So it looks like I need a new fuel pump. Does anyone know of a good source or just the obvious TVR part suppliers? Am I looking for OE or is there anything upgraded out there?

appreciate any steers...

Go genuine Bosch and get the newer type with stud terminals rather than the spade terminals of the the original which tend to corrode and cause issues.

The rest is down to your Google skills and your ability to avoid buying a fake!

I bought a Bosch pump a couple of years ago.
I avoided the Ebay one that was 25% cheaper than the others, and I suspect ate its fuel with chopsticks.
The next best price looked to be for a genuine one, so i decided to get it cross quoted with my local auto parts independent shop.
Much to my surprise, they came out just under 10% cheaper, and guaranteed it was genuine Bosch.

So i bought it from them and am glad i did.
After a month's running it started getting really noisy when hot.
I went back to them and asked if there was anything they could do.
They changed the pump without fuss or asking for explanation, and three years on the replacement still runs fine.

As said above, with ALL electrical car components, be very wary of who you buy from on EBay.
There is a lot of not very good cheap Chinese tat out there.
And a lot of knock offs of the well known brands.
