Hello all. A question for the electrical savvy guys on this forum.
I'm coming to the end of my Chimaera refurb and one of the things on the list is wiring in the single round rear lights into the pods. The original wiring loom plug that fitted the fiesta lights now exists and I have 3 lights either side to wire in.
Fiesta plugs:

One of the mk3 stop/tail lights, which has 3 wires?

One of the reversing lights which has two wires

Does anyone have a clue which wires go where? confused

Thanks in advance
Cad

Out of focus pictures are not much help.
Try listing what wire colours you have on the new lights.
I suspect they are odd or you would not be asking the question.
The car wire colours are.
Red/white - side lights
Yellow /Red - rear fog
Light green/brown - reverse
Green/Purple - brakes
Green/Red - left Ind.
Green/White - right ind

When I swapped to the Central TVR light pods (to mimic the later lights), I tested each wire, but it is actually quite easy to trace which wire goes where on the older Fiesta light pod (on my 97 at least) as all the connections are visible on the back of the pod. Mine match what Steve_D has above (that list would have saved me some time - Central TVR weren't hugely helpful with that).

I managed to source the male side of the Fiesta light connector, so just wired the Central TVR pods up to them so I didn't need to butcher (as they advised to do) the actual car loom. The connector is a Junior Power Timer, 5 pin, and I managed to find the male one on AliExpress (at a reasonable price). I have some spares, if you want them.

FYI, I joined all of the black wires together earlier in the pod "loom" to allow me to get the one wire into that connector. Trying to get all of them in was an effort in futility.

It also made it, for me, reasonably easy to reverse back to the Fiesta lights, if I/someone else ever wanted to.

Sorry for the late reply...I've been away.

Steve, as usual, very informative and helpful. Thank you.

Lime/DL - thanks also for the information. You have email smile

I assume the best sealant to use to bond in the new round lights into their pod holes is either Silkaflex or Dirko-S?

Thanks again
