I'm in the process of doing a partial body lift so I can bond the carbon panels I made during the first semi-lockdown here to the chassis.
Pictures please

What’s all this Carlos Fandagery your upto

Yes I waited all summer and still waiting for the dreaded second lockdown to happen so I can go back and play on my TVR rather than face more boredom,, Thats’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it

It seems now something of a god send to have that little project waiting for the rainy days that I can use to be as happy as Fat Larry in his band,,, Remember him, big fat black guy drummer Zoom was the track I remember lol.
It must be what workers felt when building Spitfires during the war, something great to focus on, clarity in a negative situation, hope for the future and better days to come. Car protects are a bit like that and doing it when everyone is so depressed a really odd thing but it’s like secretly doing something good in your own way and social distancing is par for the course lol.
After such a negative period in my personal life I don’t think I’d cope with lockdown to great anymore, I’ve been wanting to get up and rebuild my life then COVID, Many people feel a frustration similar to my own because of this being held back and trying to think of others,, so I already know how many will sit frustrated not knowing which way to turn, it’s serious for many people, millions of us who are used to freedom.
So when the chips are down what do you really do, dust yourself off and in our case have something we can focus on a little and it’s therapy.
Man has often sort a technical way out, mine is to make my TVR as good as it can be with the pocket size I posses.
That gives me a focus so I can think straight and stay calm for others who are freaking out all around me!
Escapism is what it really is but it soothes the soul to improve a car that’s old and in need of a bit of care.
And there are not many old cars I’d waste my time on but TVR are very special old cars that do well in a modern world.

What you said has struck a chord with me and I really sympathise.
It’s been one hell of a year for me too, I was ill for a long time (but ok now praise God), then just as I’m recovering, my job is a victim of COVID.
Still, I’m thankful there’s money in the kitty for me to tinker with my Chim, and what a blessing that is.
It’s a great distraction

:I count myself as fortunate - self employed for the last 28 years, and the only client I have in affected industries was a company building restaurants.
All the rest are still going, I have a lovely wife, and have worked from home 4 days a week for the last 15 years - now five days a week.
I am in Nottinghamshire, not in Nottigham (over 600 cases per 100,000 population), but even in Newark (great anagram) we have 103 new cases, so lockdown is imminent when the government stop playing pocket billiards and make an announcement.
So it will be TVR out in about 10 minutes, quick wash (not washed since a 280 mile journey 2 weeks ago) and off to buy some stuff from a shop in a lovely village called Thurgarton, 15 miles away. Yes, I could order online, but that's no fun.
