Only 1 Fan Working

Anyone know where I can source a replacement fan? Seems I only have one working.

After shorting the otter switch the good fan works off both connections, the bad one doesn’t work off either, even after I cleaned up the skanky connector. Also the good fan turns freely when I poke the blades around with a screwdriver through the mesh but the bad one has some really stiff sections where it won’t turn freely at all. Presumably this means the fan is knackered?

Typically it's the n/s one, which looks like it's much more difficult to get off due to one of the fixing screws being under the bottom hose. Anyone done this? Is it easier to take the whole rad out?

Your diagnosis sounds correct - certainly seems like the fan itself as you have eliminated the supplies and connectors.

Since you are in Berkshire I would highly recommend Dave Batty (of The Garage, Compton). Give him a call on 01483 811995 and I'm sure he'll be able to recommend a local supplier.

That's exactly what happened to mine and I'm afraid the only route is to replace the dodgy fan.

On the bright side, I had an uprated fan fitted to mine (SPAL, but don't know the part number, sorry), and the engine cooling's never been better

Had this happen to me last year in S. France.
Caused a little overheating !!!!!!!
