Short term insurance

Does anyone know of any insurance companies that provide a short term policy?. I am about to sell my Chimaera, and the insurance is due for renewal, so only require a short term policy.

Any help/ideas much appreciated

I have had this situation several times

The cheapest solution was to get a normal policy that lets you pay by installments usually 10 or 11

Then when you don't need the insurance cancel the policy in writing and cancell the direct debit.

This has always worked fine for me and is flexible as well.

Budget insurance do policies by the month - don't have the numer to hand, but I'm sure Google will dig it out.

Thanks for the reply(s) it looks as if the pay monthly option is the best. Incidently the quote I got from www.privilege.co.uk/motor/index.htm was really competitive, so anyone looking to renew might want to give them a try.
