225/50/15's

I've just put 2 new tyre's on the back of my 5ltr 99 chimaera (today) so3 pp's 225/50/16's and just thought i'd get a quote for the front's while i'm there (dont laugh if u allready no wot i'm going to say) and they dont do the so3 in 225/50/15's any more, i can get a potenza re050 in a 205/50/15 will this be ok or is it a bit narrow? my car's also got power steering, i'm gutted i should of done a bit of research 1st and was really looking forward 2 a brand new set of matching tyre's, dont suppose any one's got a new pair for sale have they?

I think you'd get away with 205's, though visually they may look a little weedy. I believe the fronts are meant to be somewhat narrower than the rears.

Course you may actually benefit from less aquaplaning, and a higher top speed (due to the reduced frontal area!)

Incidentally, mine is on 245's at the Rear, 225's the the front, Toyo Proxes. I love 'em.

205s are OK but you need the 55 profile. J
