I have just received a quote from ClassicLine Insurance and it is so 'cheap' that I wondered whether anyone else has used them and any problems?
They will charge me F/C £294.87 with £250 excess.
This is for 3000 miles p/a.

Or £350.00 for 5000 miles.
Should I go for it? :(

I've never had to claim but have used them for a couple of years.

My Lotus Excel costs £259 for 5k miles, Grif 500 is £345 ish for 5k miles ... with 2 x SP50's (motorway speeding) in 2001.

One thing to bear in mind is that the policies are non-refundable. Sell the car and you won;t get a refund. I'm not sure what happens if new car is suitable for the classic policy - worth asking that one!

used them on my wedge and if i ever get a chimera sorted i will use again (230 for 3000miles)

Go for 5000 miles. I went for 6k on mine and have already knocked out almost 3000 in a short time. The joys of driving will soon see your mileage creeping up! (Best thing for the car too).

My dad got his chimaera insurance with saga for 300 quid for 5000 miles a year, so if you are old enough then its probs worth a look

I'm with Classicline and they have been sinilarly cheap with me.

Never made an insurance claim in my life, so I can't comment on their performance in this respect, but the paperwork was straighforward and dealt with efficiently.
