1996 Chim,
Hi, I am just replacing my front Anti Roll Bar bushes and have also disconnected the ARB from the drop links. The 'Y-piece' of the exhaust is also out.
I would like to take the ARB completely out and get it in on the bench to clean it up. Can this be done or do I need to drop the front suspension?

Probably a bit late on this one. It's a pain, but with some careful rotation and the car high enough off the ground it's doable with everything in place.

In fact it’s a piece of cake compared to removing the steering rack, especially with the Y piece in place and with the tie rods connected but doable.

I remember this palaver now and yes it seems to require the car to be jacked up very high to get it out. I seem to remember removing the clamps entirely to allow more movement. I was trying to do it without scratching chassis which is almost impossible with two left hands wink

Thanks for comments, all out now - just needed a bit of guidance.

Steering rack also slips out easily once the ARB is removed
