Speedo success

Sorted my dancing speedo probs (posted previously) and want to share my experiences.

Changed speed sensor, but no joy. Finally got the courage to remove the dash having read other peoples efforts.
i.e. trouble finding screws and removing dash without damaging laminate :confused: - all good advice on earlier posts:read:. Once the speedo was accessable I could see the nut had come off the instrument terminal post and the loose termination was the cause of the intermitant signal. Now works great and saved myself a packet. Maybe your speedo probs are due to the same problem, worth a check before doling out your well earned dosh:thumbup:

Thanks for the tip. I don't think this is the isue with mine, as that just refuses to work under 18mph but then works fine after that. However, I shall pass it on to the main dealer who is STILL looking at it - it might have a link.
