Mot passed with no advisories!! Was a little worried dropping her off this morning as it was the first mot since fitting one of Clive’s Y pieces so first emissions test without the main cat. A close call ..... first fast idle test failed by just one thousandth of a % co2, the second passed by 35 hundredths.

So it’s you doable if you still have the pre cats in ( removing both pre cats and main cat would be an automatic fail ) and avoids the need to switch in/out the original catted y piece once a year. By all accounts you can run the engine hard to build up heat in the precats making them a little more efficient but in my case this wasn’t necessary.

Good day..... now going to empty that half tank of fuel by going the long way round to the supermarket!

The precats are in a better location for lighting off anyway its why manicats are have been the rage for mainstream stuff for a while now a good non faff solution you have there , enjoy your car now
