diferent wipers??

my 2 year old turned on my wipers while i was working under the hood - DOH!

now have busted nearside. penninsula sent me the standard (only one that TVR have ever used) item AND surprise surprise... it didn't fit!

car is 94 (L) 500HC. has anyone else had this?
what wiper arm is it?

looks the same as tvr part, fittings are the same, but spindle size on mine is bigger by about a mil. so the "standard" part won't go on.

Is the 1 mil not within bodging tolerances when persuaded with a large hammer. Is suspect that this may have been used in the original assembly?

I had the same problem as I can't get the older plastic wiper arms and have had to move onto the newer ali ones. Basically make the hole just big enough to get the arm over the threaded part of the spindle then tighten up the nut just enough for the splines on the spindle to bite into the tapered part of the arm. Don't shear the spindle!!!!
