82k miles and rising!

I have found the system of keeping the chassis in good fettle and try to battle each problem as it arises works for me.
He is treated to a good oil change frequently and lots of wax.

It would appear from most threads that the best tonic is to keep them moving, nothing seizes then, bit like old people!

Just the normal 6,000 mile/12 month servicing.

Some would say that this around this kind of mileage that cam's start getting rather worn, but mines done 66k and is running fine.

That's good to know jimothy, the car seems to be running fine but it is things like the cam that i have a concern over as these could be majorly expensive!

Ding, thanks, also reassuring, have you (or previous owner if there is one) replaced anything mechanically-major on yours? Love that you have referred to the car as 'him'!!

48k would have been a big service, so provided you go to an independant, expect to pay £250 + for the next service at 56k.

Don't forget to ask here before the dealer quotes you 13,000 quid for a new brake pad!
