Completely unrelated events...

Just had a great few days in Norfolk, lots of sun, great roads! Also the Chimaera got a lot of attention up there, much more than around Cambridge which is our usual haunt. Best moment was witnessed by my wife.. passed two teenage girls at speed, one was seen to mouth 'bloody hell' as we passed her.

Worst moment, you know who you are you miserable b*st*rd, you gave us the vees as we overtook you near Burnham Market and then hung on our tail until I got pissed with you....

Got home and the driver's door button no longer works. All other door electrics are fine. passenger side unaffected. I think it happened after I tucked the mirror in so probably a loose connection, the switch 'feels' fine - how do I get into the mirror housing to fix it?

I took the speaker off the door and went in that way when mine did this, fixed it no problem.

Do you have any noise when you press the button? If yes, another prime suspect is the plunger switch on the door sill - take it out & clean the contacts.

This switch reports that the door is closed and ready for opening to the central locking - if it is reporting door open, then the button sounds like it's working, but the door don't open.

Yes, truly great roads up here

Burnham Market - known as "Chelsea on sea" by the locals due to the London influence/invasion! Isn`t the "V" sign part of the highway code on London roads?!

That vee sign business is so unnecessary, isn't it? I witnessed one this aft: passed a tractor, no less, doing 25mph in a sixty limit. The guy coming the other way (still on the way home from the showroom in his 'G' reg Granada) started to display some hand signals not in the Highway Code AFTER I'd done the manoeuvre and returned to the inside lane. On a Friday afternoon! He ought to stay in more.

Agree. Was recently in Dundee, overtook slow vehicle, oncoming car miles away (I wasnt driving me griff...)safe manouvre, oncoming scot flashed, when he eventually got to me, slowed down, wound his window down, "v`d" me,then cursed effing this effing that, couldn`t understand a word....were both at standtill, holding up traffic and I asked what problem was? Realised I was english and things started to get even worse!!! I drove away while the silly old f8rt carried on his rambling and pointless cursing with clearly frustrated drivers behind him.
I go up to scotland for 3 days each month on business and have never had this before.
No disrespect to scots, generally fine times up yonder...however, this older guy CLEARLY hated brits.
Some folk live sad lives, must have had very bad morn!!!

Dave.
