I’m gradually changing the fuel lines on my car and just have the larger 1/2” tubing to do between the fuel pump and tank left. Just a quick question, is it good practice to also change out the wide fuel filler tubing when doing this job?

Not for me personally, I don’t see that it gets the abuse the fuel lines do.

I was wondering if these tubes become permeable over time as the outside looks fine. I'll check it isn't perished inside before refitting.

Haha, I decided to be clever and cut away the short pipe between the tank and pump then squeeze in a new piece of pipe only to find the pipe was reinforced!!!!!!!! What a PITA took ages to un-knit the wire and drain the dregs from the tank.
