I have a small but persistant leak into the drivers well. I've tracked it down to the seal around the break reservoir - where it's cut into the top of the driver's well. I've managed to fix it a couple of times already (liberal application of water sealant)but this only lasts a couple of months on average before it leaks again.

Anyone else got this problem and more importantly anyone got a good idea how to fix this permenantly?

I use the care daily so I need a fix not likely to fail through usage etc.

Clean out all of the existing sealant & do it again, but first, lightly sand the brake reservoir & also the edge of the bodywork where you are going to apply the sealant. This will give a far better seal. Then you need to use the sealant to make an inverted vee on the bodywork above the reservoir (nearer to the windscreen), so that any water running down will be diverted to each side of the reservoir.

You are still going to need to do it each year though....

Thanks - any advice on the best type of sealant?

Well I just use stuff I got from B&Q which works fine for me (note my car lives outside & is driven in all weathers but snow, up here in Scotland & doesn't leak, much to the amazement of fellow clubmembers).
I'm sure there may be better sealant around (garages use Sikaflex, which needs a compressed air gun), but I just accept that it'll need doing each year.

Your servo may be slighlty loose, hence applying peddle will move the unit and eventually break the seal, Try cheching it is secure also.

Sounds like this is what's happening - how do I check the servo?

Now you've got me. Im not sure if there are some bolts in the footwell behind the pedal, similar to cluth cylinder pedal. Dont quote me on this. Other than that one of our resident experts will be able to help. Sorry to be vague.

surely the servo will be in the engine bay and bolted from that side, not the footwell..

Cheers
Matt.

I was only going along the lines of the position of the cluth master cylinder Assy,i.e. behind the clutch pedal. Im probably completeley wrong. Its connected to the resivoir somehow and somewhere.
