Door problem

So, ive done several thousand miles in the past few months in my 99' 5 litre and im loving it, very different from my 997 C4S but all in a great way.
However...
The last time i was out in it, the drivers door swung open as i was driving it, i managed to pull over and eventually get it to close but the door release on the mirror is no longer working. I can open it from inside or should i say I could.
I tried to go out yesterday, the alarm is activating and i can here the solenoids, but now i am unable to access the car at all neither door will open and my service history and manual are in the car.
So how can i gain access to the interior, and any ideas as to what the problem/solution is?

Ive done a search on here and cant really find the right solution.
