Brake callipers

Hi all need a bit of help.To get the hand brake to work i need to pull it on hard this is three notches, This is all right for me but her indoors cant release it and she likes driving it as well i have stripped them down and they are clean The car is a 99 chim where can i get a pair of callipers from and how much can i get them over the net????.
97 Chim same problem - I think they all do that....
In her case if I am not around we have worked out a suitable method - roof off, she puts one foot on each seat, bends knees grasps handbrake firmly and pulls. Works a treat and has the added amusement of watching her ride off down the hill in the chim like a chariot driver if shes forgotten to leave it in gear ;-)

Quite , and when applying it, - that way all the left arm is having to do is to take up the slack in the mechanism since (on these calipers) the handbrake works through the foot brake pads and you are applying the pinching pressure with your foot via the hydraulics rather than through the mechanical system with its poor mechanical advantage. Right foot on the brake pedal also means you've got something to push against when pulling the handbrake lever. Voila!
