Water in the footwell after yesterdays down poor!

I left my car (with roof on) at a friends house on Saturday night after a few beers and got a taxi home.

When I came round to pick the car up on Sunday afternoon I got in the car and drove home.

When I got out of the car I noticed that the bottom of my trousers were wet and eventually traced it back to the footwell of my Chimaera being damp.

Most of the time the car is parked in the garage but from time to time I get caught out in the rain. However I can't say I had noticed that the footwell was damp before.

It's not coming from the roof or top of door as this is all dry.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Get some Thomsons water seal, and re-proof the bits of fabric behind the driver/passenger windows.

I've actually got a problem with my clutch cylinder, but doing a search for clutch and seals gives me quite a few results for cars with water in the driver side footwell!
The seal under the bonnet (where the master clutch cylinder is kept) is prone to leaking. It's the big black rubber blob in the wing (under the bonnet).

I regularly used to get a leak in the driver footwell The leak was a combination of a number of things which I finally corrected by:

Running some black Duck Tape around the seal of the Clutch Master cylinder and along the line of where the metal heat reflector meets the drivers side inner wing.

Re-sealing the windscreen rubber at the base of the windscreen.

Putting some more sealant at the base of the windscren wiper spigot.

I also bought a Leven half cover which is more convenient than the full TVR cover but even when I don't use the cover I don't get leaks anymore.
