I have a '94 Chimaera. The heavy rain seems to have upset my wipers! They don't seem to be parking properly when I use the intermittent setting. I've sprayed plenty of WD40 around the park switch/connector but I can't do much more than wiggle it. Do I need to remove another part of the wiper to get at this switch/connector properly and if so, is that an easy job or should I wait to the next service (as the wipers work OK otherwise)?
Replace it, it'll be about a fiver from your local garage. Just unplug the old one, and plug in the new one - making sure you note down what leads plug where!
Cover the new one in some vaseline to help it last longer. Its another consumable part for Chims...

I haven't been able to remove it yet! It is on the passenger side, close to the windscreen right by the right hand edge. A picture would help but I don't have one.
Me too! But I find that if the screen is wettish, they park ok. If it is dryish, with just a few drops or drizzle on it, they dont.
So I just give it a squirt of washer, and they seem to park OK
I used a lot of washer but the parking was still random. I also tried it with the wipers away from the screen. No luck.
Don't know the part number, I just explained the problem to Martin at RG and he gave me the right thing. Phone up a TVR dealer and ask.
Its a bit of a bugger to get out and put back, its got an annoying clip on the bottom IIRC. Just takes a bit of time and fiddling.
