Old Cerbi compared to Chim ?

I have heard people talking about the speed 6 engine liking to lunch itself, and therefore having higher running costs compared to a chim, but is there a big difference in running costs between a old v8 cerbi and say a 4.5 chim ?

Short answer, and theres a LOT of threads on this subject, is yes.
A cerb will usually cost at least double that of a Chim to run.
They make look roughly the same shape (barr the roof) but under the skin they are very different machines.
The Chims/Griffs use many aftermarket parts from companies such as Ford etc and the trusty RV8 engine.
The Cerb has a lot of TVR specific parts and a TVR developed engine.

Dont you mean a plastic top and also Cerbra speed six uses a straight six engine - The Cerbra V8 is an ajp unit, two different engines.
Given the choice go for the Chimaera cheaper to run and the sound with the roof off is "orgasmic living"

I think it's got something to do with the exhaust being attached to the bottom of the drivers seat...something to do with the vibrations, I'm told!!!

There has been studies into making women come using speakers and bass waves, don't see why it couldn't work with a TVRs soundtrack. Also a nice four cyl motorbike engine ( my cbr around 6500-7000rpm ) was always a favourite with female passengers !
