Is it okay to isolate the battery for long periods??

I'm planning a battery to boot project and thought I should add a battery isolator for winter storage. If I do this, the battery would be isolated from the Meta immobiliser permanent supply for many months, is that okay? I'm fearing immobiliser issues, how does the Meta system respond to long periods of isolation?

I’ve not had any problems with the battery disconnected for several months.

The only issue I have found after disconnecting the battery is sometimes the ECU needs to re-learn some of its settings.
Idle can be erratic etc, but a 10 minute blast through the rev range, and all is restored!
