I want to give my wiper some service as they run very sluggishly, I suspect that the whole system needs to be lubricated. But how do I disassemble the system. I think if I loosen the brass nut and then pull out a wire or something else that control wind screen wipers. Can anyone give me a hint on how to proceed.
As you can see, my car looks a little different, it's an LHD 500

I seem to remember that you remove the wipers to allow the spindles to rotate freely, undo the nut as you suggest then extract the drive cable.

There are lots of threads running on wiper issues if you do a search, there is also a gentleman around who refurbs the components around here with good success.
The best upgrade I found was the replacement motor from Tvr parts, expensive but the difference was night and day.

Thanks, for hints, it went well, but it was probably time for service
