Steering Rack -

Has anybody needed to change the steeringrack on a 97 Chimaera -- my powersteering pump seal has failed and TVR are not being too forthcoming, as to what it is built / based on.

Steering rack is from a TVR Griffith.
It is a TVR special. Pump is typically Land Rover but depends on whther you have a serp or pre-serp engine. I have heard they charge more for the pump than TVR. Shop around and assume nothing.

Search this forum for APM andy. He got the parts and re=conditioned my rack about 12 months ago. my profile also had a thread against it which might give you the things to try

Just had mine reconditioned this week, My guy got it done by Freejays, Perivale - John - 0208 991 0218 (tell him Mark from RBS sent you) just done a fantastic job on my 500, quick as well !!
