Hi guys,

A friend of mine has just purchased a Mitsubishi Evolution 8 FQ330. Took me for a blast in it....MY GOD!!!!Ferocious speed and acceleration. An absolute animal.I was very keen on seeing what i could do against it in a friendly joust. It just felt so much quicker then mine. However, having owned a nutty rally car before my chim 400, i know that the boost alone from the turbo makes the car "feel" quicker but may not be the case on the road.

Anyone come up against one of these?

Im still quite shocked by the handling and acceleration. Mind you, the 18 grand he spent on it made me think that i would much prefer a tuscan.

Oh it will be pretty much straight line stuff. A-B i will get annihilated i would have thought. The evos have yaw control and all the other trickery to catapult round bends.Having raced them, what did you reckon gazboy?
