Somebody mentioned an upgrade telescopic one?

Has anybody upgraded and and don't use their old one?

Mine bent last night and despite best attempts to make it straight again its gonna need a new one

I would have thought that a modification to put in two bonnet struts would be relatively simple. I am considering doing the same thing so I can show off the 'soon to be dressed' engine bay. I have seen a few VW/Audi aftermarket struts that would do the job, just need to look at how they would be mounted. You can get std black ones or polished finish. As far as I can see should not cause any problems as the bonnet will still use the same catch etc to secure it!
