Having a good clear up of the rats nest that is the stereo wiring behind the lower dash panels and have found the following:

They weren't connected to anything, as some of the corrosion on the terminals confirms. Wondering if anyone recognises what they were originally for ? I have a feeling the round connector was for a CD changer that was in the boot, but this was removed years ago. No idea what the square/blue connector could be for though...
Theres a decent amount of cable for them and was hoping I could just snip them off to create a little more room back there.

The blue is the Pioneer multi changer wiring harness, I had exactly the same in my old car. Can't help with the round one though. Google lens it?

Smashing, many thanks for that !

I've confirmed the round one is a Kenwood changer cable thanks to google. No idea why my car seems to have had so many changers over the years !! laugh

Cheers !!

Bizarrely a W reg from 2000 ...laugh

I remember when buying it, it had a Kenwood head unit which a previous owner must have fitted.
Either way I know I can remove them now without any fear of disturbing something important !
