Help, it won't start!!!

Well, jumped in the Chimera this morning to come to work, turned the ignition key, and nothing, the fuel pump didn't even cut in (even though I went to start it within 10 secs) and plugging in the immobiliser over-ride key didn’t do anything (standard fit Meta).
I thought that the battery may be a little low (been stood 2.5 weeks) so I put the charger on it, but I put the power lead through the window, and the window went down as normal, which to me would indicate that there should be enough charge in the battery to power a fuel pump!
So to me, it may be looking like an immobiliser fault? I just wondered if anyone had ever come across anything like it? Or what connections to check, where to check and how if possible to bypass the immobiliser?
The more advice the better as I need to sort it ASAP as I need the car for work, and the missus isn't too pleased with me borrowing her car!

i had same problem last week been for a ride stopped to put some beer in my tank returned to car and nothing after inserting immob key and wiggling it several times she started,its happened once since everything engine wise is dead wiggle imob key and life appears thinking about replacing imobiliser
Compared with amps needed to turn the engine and drive the fuel pump, all other things consume very small amounts of power and your test so far are not a true indicator.
If the only change is that the car has not been used for a couple of weeks, then I would suspect that the battery is kaputt.
Remove battery and get it checked and/or try recharging it. I would imagine if it has gone flat and will not hold charge then one or more plates inside the battery could have collapsed and it will never hold the required charge again and needs to be replaced.

When my fuel pump wouldn't kick in I had a faulty fuel pump relay, the silver ones in the passenger footwell.
Auto leccy sorted it thanks to RT Racing. I didnt even need a new one, the leccy worked his magic. I think you can get them from Land Rover for about £15 if that is your problem.

I connected the battery to an Optimate (this morning)I'd bought for the bike, but it's still showing charging, and the car is in the same situation.
I'll leave it overnight, and try again in the morning! I checked the relays and Injection fuse, but they seem fine!

Righto, having left the battery charging for a couple of days, still nothing last night! Locked and unlocked it 8 times......nothing!
Spoke to HHC who said to check all the fuses initially (I'd checked only the EFI), so pulled them all out, and they were OK!
But tried it again, and it started!......Stopped it a couple of times and it re-started no problem!
Jumped in it this morning ........nothing! Grrrrr, anyone got any further ideas?

Tried a different battery last night in a vain attempt to get the thing started.....same thing! (Was off my v8 landie so a no cost option tho)
When I checked pins 85 and 86 on the two silver relays, there was no voltage with the ignition on, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) this would indicate a immobiliser fault.
Can anyone tell me a) where it's located, and b)how to bypass or test it?

Sounds like an immobiliser problem. There are no relays on the starter circuit (although modwise kit sorts this) so even if the fuel pump relay was stuffed the starter shoud crank. The immobiliser cuts the ignition/fuel pump and starter circuits so if its gone south then neither of these will work but your dash lights will still come on. Send me a PM and and i'll email you details of how to test/bypass.
