Sounds like you (and plenty of other people) love the sound of your exhaust.
From what I can gather from the conversation it was done at Offords. But the question I have is do they do anything differently to the standard exhaust mod (i.e. Open the back box, remove wadding, replace perforated pipe with straight through and weld back up again.).
Have heard that they have a variation on this but would be very interested to know what it is, and more importantly what difference it it makes from the standard modification.

I'll hi-jack Roos thread as shes probably cleaning her car again or re-dyeing her hair.
Instead of using a straight pipe Offords put cherry bombs in instead, giving a slightly deeper tone and a less tinny sound at high revs.
I had mine done 2 weeks ago and the sound is fantastic, though it does get louder as it gets older. Had a sound off with Roo at the Essex meet and hers sounded louder and more bassy than mine now its had chance to coke up a bit.
I'd definitely recommend it though, for the pops and bangs on the overun at least!!

Offords charge £140 plus VAT, they did mine on a Saturday. I dropped off at 9 and picked up at mid-day.
The chap that did it said it could be made even louder by removing even more baffling but would risk sounding tinny.
TBH at cruising speeds its not that much louder in the cabin, its outside the car that the difference is really heard - Oh and on acceleration, tunnels overrun etc.

Or sleeve the perforated pipes and leave the wadding in. You get a much deeper tone...

Hi cerby4.5, sorry i missed chatting to you, as always time flys etc. I love the exhaust notes and am so glad i didn't take any notice of my GOM who didn't want me to have it done. Catch up with you another time.
