Rear Window

Evening all,

Whilst washing the Chimaera this afternoon, wanting to make it look good for tomorrow but then realising my MOT had run out, doh, but that's a different story...

Anyway, I noticed that the stiching on the rear window was worn out in about a 4 inch patch.

I'm thinking this should be an easy fix, seen as though the screen isn't ripped and neither is the hood. Has anyone stiched a window? If so what sort of thread can be used? and does anyone have any other tips on fixing it?

To cut a long story short, you're best off replacing it. £200 in Cheshire, 3-4 hour job, includes a new screen.

Temporarily, I'd use black gaffer tape to seal it. Don't use glue, you'll damage the fabric.

Cheers POD, I'm taking it up to HHC for a service, MOT and some other odds and sods so I'll see if they know anyone local to fix/replace it.

If not it's a trip across the pennines...
