clutch slipping

just took my chim 500 into middlesex tunning to be told the lamba sensor in the exhaust has gone(how much £ and how easy is it to change).also and more alarming my clutch is slipping.this means a serious lack of power and they can't put it on the rolling road to test it because it would be pointless.help!!anyone know any good clutch deals for chims??

Lambda sensors retail at about £90, plus five minutes to fit. Even if only one has actually failed, your garage may recommend replacing both of them since they gradually degrade with age.

Your looking at about £500 for a new clutch to be fitted.

There are some exhausts for sale on Ebay, you might be able to do a deal with the seller/buyer and get a cheap sensor off them.

Hi there,

I got my clutch replaced earlier this year - worked out to be just under £500. It might be worth asking about the master / slave cylinder as well, as mine needed to be done a few months later - doh! That was just over £200, but obviously had the additional labour charge. They recommended getting the pivot arm and bearing done at the same time as the clutch was replaced.

cheers for the feedback guys,just back from middx tunning and was told the plank who tightened up my lamba sensors used grips instead of the appropriate spanner!!!!!!!!!!!
words fail me.they also warned against ebay as some parts have been proved not to work but thats the chance you take i suppose. q for timbobalob.where did you get your clutch done?
