Dodgy electrics?

Hi guys,
after fitting my stainless steel dash and fitting the radio panel, i cant seem to get the hazard lights/fog lights and lights to function properly.
Do they need to be connected a certain way? (i.e are the cables polarised in the sense they have to be connected the right way round or is my switch control box up the spout?)
The hazard swith does not switch off(lights flashing constantly), nor does the fog light and once my lights are on, it makes an annoying buzzing sound.
