I thought the longer the running / hotter the cats the better? Think the bible states that a long run / blast just before the emissions test can make all the difference.

Snap, so did i, there are three types of emissions tested, mine failed the middle one as you look at the screen, cooled down and it passed 1st time...
As long as the car is well warmed, and not bouncing of the 90o temp gauge i think you'll be ok...
