Hi
My Chimaera fail to start after stalling 2 times when I try to drive into my garage.

I have fuel pressure, pulses to the injectors, weak ignition spark and starter turn over, but engine fail to start. I have tested with another ignition module and replaced spark plugs, but no success.

I'm not sure about if my Chimaera from 93 have an immobilizer or not but with the fuel pump running and starter motet turn over I suspect that there are no immobilizer / it's not the problem. According to several post on this forum it's easy to blame the immobilizer but that's not always the problem.

So can anyone tell if my Chimaera have an immobilizer or not and shall I suspect it? I have no remote key fob.
Any suggestion where to look for the problem? I suspect the ignition coil right now.

Another poster from Sweden! I knew there were a few TVRs over there.

Can't help with the starting issue. There is a by-pass on the imobiliser you can do - I don't know it though - which would at least rule out a faulty unit.

Have you tried squirting Easy Start into the plenum while starting the car? You'll need a friend / attractive assistant to either be starting the car or spraying the Easy Start. If the car runs on Easy Start then you know it is a fueling issue.

If it doesn't, then it is spark.

Of course it could be both. This is a TVR biggrin

I would say if you have some kind of spark maybe the coil or voltage to it.
Checked the rotor and cap too?

Hi.
Yes I suspect the ignition to. The rotor cap are recently changed and new coil, ignition module and rotor are ordered from Racetech today.

My Chimaera can be very difficult to start if you stall shortly after starting. If you do it twice, even worse. I think it floods the engine with fuel. If you leave it while then try to restart that works and try starting with either no throttle or lots of throttle (one works but I cant remember which sorry). Try both !
