Tracker

Hello,

I'm getting my Chim tomorrow and I wanna fit a tracker to it.

What's the opinion on this? Does it help with insurance? It seems a sensible thing to do since I'm hoping one of the boys at work will do me a deal on fitting it!

I know this is sensitive infomation, but I also need to know where is a good position to locate the unit etc...

Can anyone help??

welcome to the silly grin club loretta,
a traker will help with the insurance,ive a tracker plus from the rac,thay will fit it were thay want ,if you know were it is you will be abell to remove it,if you had one would you post were it was on here?????

I'm hoping someone won't post where it is, but I need to know where to fit it since the guy fitting it has never put one on a TVR before so trying to find out if there are any obvious places NOT to put them for any reason? ie. common water ingress spots etc?

There are loads of obvious places where there is space and which are not readily accessible. Under the dash top, inside the bolsters, inside the doors, in the door pillars, in the boot up over the wheelarches, inside the master cylinder cover, in the storage cubbyholes ... endless list really. And the beauty is even when you know how to get into some of these places it can be painful and slow to do so!

when i got my 450 i insured it through Peart...various reasons, but mainly that they would accept my No Claims from a company car.....

Strangely adding a tracker made no difference to the policy, and its under 1k
