Have recently fitted new rubber surround for doors and roof etc..Getting the rubber seal to sit tight onto the rear of the door on body is proving difficult and previously was rivetted using a small gun.
Could anyone recommend a clear glue to affix things like this and also where the rear canvas is glued to the roll over frame in the same area ie pivot point.
Thanks Tim

A 'Contact Adhesive' like EvoStick would probably do the trick.

However, I'd get a second opinion before deciding as I could me wrong.

Tricky one, I use UHU for similer jobs and it works well but does dry hard and brittle and simply breaks away after a few months.
I too therefore lok forward to some replies here!

I used Araldite (sp ?) 2 part epoxy for the rubbers round the velcro and roof/window area about a year ago, had to let it cure for a day but its still OK.

Yup, try Araldite Epoxy Resin- it's a one application, mix together paste- but, though flexible once cured, it can take up to 16 hrs to harden.

I noticed mine was coming adrift and used Evo-Stik contact adhesive, mainly because some pressure is needed to hold it place, and doing that for any period of time with other adhesives would have been impossible.

Yep - time-honoured Araldite 2-part mixed on the back of a matchbox with said matchstick(s) is the way to go without doubt - so long as you don't leave it lying around afterwards - oh that smell...

Find some horses. Shoot. Remove hooves, etc. Boil.
Result - glue.

Its not very good for TVRs, but its a much better use for horses.

True - but isn't it water soluble? ie the hood would disintegrate just when you need it (hey, don't tell TVR, they might do it...)
