Diff problems

Had my local garage look over my new baby yesterday. Mostly good news, but they have found excessive backlash in the diff. Recommending it's sent off for reconditioning.

See in the bible there's various sorts or diff, so:

1. Is there a standard sort fitted to a 2001 450 (facelift car)?
2. Is there a recognised specialist for reconditioning?

Your Handbook should tell you, mines a BTR *** something or other, check there 1st...

Before they get too carried away,make sure all the diff mountings are tight,this can be overlooked if their not specialists.
