Starter Motor Removal 1994 Chim

Hi Guys, need some advice from PH again. I'm trying to replace the starter motor on my 94 Chim. The bible says undo the two allen head bolts that secure the unit to the bellhousing. You can only see one bolt, can't even see or feel the second bolt. Can any of you guys who have done the job tell me how you located the second allen head bolt please.

Hi, I have replaced mine and you will need to use an allen key type that goes into a 1/2 drive socket. Make sure when you get it into the allen bolt (already on the 1/2drive with an extension bar) a good tap on with a hammer or something like that to make sure it is well in. I would not like to burr the bolt or it would be a nightmare to get out. Don't forget to disconect the electrics.

You will need either an 8 or a 10mm allan key for the job start on the top 1 you will see it with a mirror and a flash light,you will need an extension bar the lenght of the starter motor to fix in the top allen screw .Make sure the key is engaged and tap ,yes tap in with a hammer then fit the ratchet bar and unscrew ,hitting the bar witha hammer can shock it loose. disconnect the battery before you start you dont want any sparks. Remenber to disconnect both the red leads leading to the starter,and reconnect both afterwards.Should take less than a hr off car ramps be ready to swear!!!.
