Are there variances in temp senders?

My temp sender broke which resulted in the temperature always reading 90 even from cold.

I ordered a new sender and now find that the temp barely moves from cold :confused:, are there some variances in the model of temp senders?

Mines an early 1993 model.

Yes. Everytime TVR changed the instruments... the sensors usually changed as well... but not always. Might be worth checking the exlectrical connections to the sender though.

i have the same problem.

No matter how long i drive the car it never goes above 60-70deg...the only time it will go over this is if i sit with the enging ticking over / traffic jams!!!

Either the gauge is under-reading, or your stat has failed.
