Aftermarket airfilters

Tiv is coming up to another service, and am thinking of finding a better air filter than the standard (lorry thing)..

Any good recommened air filters out there?

Already had a look at these...
They not rally that good.

Pipercross seemed to have some decent sized filters.

Deffo....fitted a K&N a few months back - speak to Tim @ ACT.

I've been thinking about changing mine.

A couple of questions:

Does it make that much difference from the foam pipercross style fitted as standard?
I had a K&N on a hot hatch in a previous life and the pickup seemed better although noise was intrusive at motorway speeds......not that noise in an issue these days!

Also, since there's currently one on there, is it a simple bolt off bolt on job?

Any ideas of cost?
