Rear Anti Roll Bar Welded Bracket Broken

Hi This is my first post sorry if i go on a bit.Had My Chimaera about six months Definately the best thing to come out of my divorce.
But just looked underneath and noticed the bracket holding the Offside rear anti roll bar (wobbly bit)has broken in the middle.Looks like someone has jacked it up and broke it i guess as there are not many jacking points,And i havn't jacked it up so it wasnt me Honest.Can i buy this part or do i just get one made i would prefer the bought one but i could get one made and welded on.Please Help any info greatly welcomed

Same happened to me just got a plate welded on top and all ok now , dont think its a jacking issue just driven over a bump issue

Thanks i did hit a big pot hole the other day,but when i looked underneith and saw problem i had to guess where to jack it up and assumed it was more likely to be that,Guess its a common problem than,

Snap the same has happened to mine....

I think the bracket was about £15.00 and 1 hours labour... So not to bad to fix.

Yep thats what happenened.
Did you get a bracket done or was it a brought one with part number as its getting done next week if i could put correct piece in to get it welded it would be nice,Otherwise i will make one for them to fit.Sounds quite common then it is a bit flimsy for the job it needs to do.Pleased i am not the only one i suppose i will have to get used to it with this car then Glad i only use it when i want to, as most of the jobs will cost loads i may need to save up first.

One of the reasons they break is that the standard linkage is not fully articulated so that the drop link bolt starts to twist the plate which doesn't help its strength or reliability. This was another reason that prompted the rose jointed drop links. If you look at www.shpub.co.uk/tvrextras/docs/GRARB-v1.pdf you can see that a straight bolt is not ideal. I supply washers etc so that the drop link can be set up to be aligned as best as possible. The rose joints then take care of any movement and the result is the ARB pulls/pushes the wishbone rather than try and twist it.

The later cars had a strengthened plate fitted BTW.

I would get the bracket welded/strengthened. It ill be cheaper than getting a new wishbone( the other way of solving the problem).

I'm not to sure if it has a part number or not it was supplied by Henley Heritage I think the number is 01491 411177 they did mine about 2 weeks ago.
