My 4.5 Chimaera has failed its MoT on emissions. Last time it really struggled and I have been asked to take it for a real blast before they test again.
Outside of a good excuse to stretch her legs, does anyone have any ideas what I can do to prevent this in the future?
If you have Rovergauge or know someone with it, it would be worth plugging the car in. Could be a sensor out of range, something like one of the lambda sensors or coolant temperature.
Obviously if it's misfiring it needs rectifying first. Ignition components these days are not great quality wise so be careful where you buy from. It's the cause of many a problem on these engines.
