Which fuse is for the boot release?

The fuse that operates the boot release has blown on my Chimaera (again). Unfortunately my handbook and bible are in the boot so I can't get to them for help! Can anyone tell me which fuse I need to replace? It's the same fuse that does the electric mirrors and cigarette lighter. Also where is the fusebox located?

The fuse box at back of the passengers footwell above the battery. To get access, just remove the foot panel i.e stick you hand over the top and pull.

On my chimp which is a 1999, the boot lock fuse is fuse no 16 (10 amp). or 6 from the right. My cigarette lighter is on a different fuse.

Be aware that I think there are slightly different fuse layouts depending on the year.

By pulling all the fuses and examining, it's pretty obvious which one has blown.

Forgot to mention just to state the obvious, pull one at a time and then replace it back in socket, so as not to get them mixed up.

Thanks Dave, great help. It was the same fuse on mine too. Managed to find fuse box, initially fuse didn't look blown, then found that there were more fuses to the right behind some carpet Replaced the fuse then opened & closed the boot several times (_after_ taking the contents out!), seems ok now.
