HELP! Oil Leak!

Chim has been sat at home for 5 weeks whilst i have been overseas, just moved it to find a LARGE puddle of oil on the floor! It always did leave a small patch but i just put this down to it being a V8.
Please help, is this a quick fix, i.e. local garage 1/2 mile away. Or will i have to take it to a specialist, i.e. Dealer (TMS) 20 miles, or TVR Power 50 miles. I realise this has to be fixed but don't really want to have it on the ramp for 1/2 a day at dealers rates if i can help it.
Any suggestions pleeeeese!

Yes, check the sump plug.
I went out to ours once and found a hugly scary amount of oil over the drive and feared the worse. I call the RAC who came with a flatbed and loaded it up and while the guy was securing it I noticed the sump plug was undone. It seems this can happen if it recieves even the slightest knock on a sleeping policeman or whatever.
I just thanked my lucky stars it was stopped when it was, it was only in by 1/2 a thread who knows the consequences if we lived at the other end of the street

Have you established where the leak is coming from...? Back of the sump? The sender? Somewhere else?
To be honest any garage should be able to sort the leak / re-seal the sump / change the sender, but personally I'd want it done by a TVR garage (dealer or specialist).
Top up your oil, turn the engine over and make sure it's not pissing out the bottom... otherwise you wont even be driving it to a garage...

Ok, it's fine when running (wipes sweat off brow), don't know where the leak is as i can't get under it. I always leave a piece of cardboard underneath when i leave it for a while, it seems to be leaking from the same spot as usual(?), it's just that this time it has ran off the cardboard cos there was so much.
How much do you reckon at the dealer?
