Decided to send the badges off to Leven for "refurbishment". Apart from being awkward getting the bonnet badge off without removing the bonnet had no problems. However, the boot badge was caked in black mastic presumably to stop water getting in through the oversized holes.
I will need to use this when re-fitting anyone know what it is? Seems to have done it's job and still plastic after 7 years.

I must be the opposite to most people then as I have just purchased the 'high spec' silver badge from Leven. Had the gold one but didn't like it as everything else metallic on the car is silver/alloy/stainless steel etc. Have just fited it and it looks great! Also matches the PH sticker on the other side!! Not a great picture due to the glare, but here goes:

All depends on the car colour and personal taste. If I had your colour I would never have considered "gold" badges, but On Crimson Starmist they should look the dogs. I bought all the gear to change the indicators to clear, but again when I got them all decided that the original "orange" suited the car colour better. Again each to their own taste.
PS I actually prefer the original rear lights as well, I think it keeps the overall "classic" look, which I prefer.........Why do I suddenly feel very old

I agree with you, the gold badge was on when I bought the car, so the prev owner obviously liked it!
Seems there was a lot of emphasis on have you got the gold badges or not for a while. So much so that many TVR sellers added the fact that they had them into their description somewhere..... Never really understood that?????
