Interior bulb

The interior bulb on the Chimaera has expired... anyone know what type it is..? I had a look at it this morning and it didn't look familiar at all... :scratchchin:

Left the handbook at home, and was hoping that someoone might know..?

Standard cylindrical shape with metal poles at each end?

Any garage I would have thought.

The interior fitment is fairly standard accross the motor industry - it was the same as a mate's TR7 and my wife's old AX GT.

It's a Ford lamp so it would be a "207" type bulb. Looks like an indicator bulb but smaller head and only 5w.

Simplest thing is to take it out of the car - take it to your local motor factor and ask for a new one.
Doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the correct one of course - check the writing on the two bulbs matches up.

Did that, and went to Halfords and neither had anything that matched.

Off to Ford garage in hope it's one of theirs...

What do you need an interior light for? If you get up 5 minutes earlier, you can do your hair and makeup before you set off for work in the morning

You've answered your own question - I need the sleep.

it's still a "207" bulb (5w), available in ever car spares shop in the land.
If you want the brighter 10w version then ask for a "245" bulb, be warned if you tend to leave it on for ages by mistake they can melt the lamp.

Sorry, let me change that, available in any car spares shop in the UK unless they are useless.
Get the "245" 10w bulb then and don't leave it on over night

Failing that there is always this one this one

Thought I might have a nose for an LED replacmeent... in the meantime it sounds like the garage over the road have one in.
