18" tuscan spider alloys on a chimaera?

Hi there sorry to bring up what must be a horribly prdictable subject but does anyone know whether its possible to fit Tuscan 18" spider alloys to a chimaera (obviously with a 5 stud hub set up? What are the pitfalls, any difficuties with offsets? do i need spacers?Whaqt are the offsets on a chimaera 5 litre incidentally? sorry for all the questions but i'm new to this game, cheers Bhpjon

Do you care how the car handles or is this just to improve the looks of the car? I've followed this debate for years and conclude that handling is seriously compromised by fitting anything bigger than 17's.

There is a kit of parts on ebay at the moment.

Thanks very much for that chaps, it looks kike i will follow 360 bobs' advice and go for the 17" option, incidentally does uprating the suspension help if i were to go for the 18" wheels?

I believe so but it will still tramline and the ride will still be uncomfortable on country roads.

edited to add. I stuck with 16's all round and have not personally experienced 18's. That said there is a wealth of knowledge on this issue both here and on modifier sites that suggest general drivability is compromised by reducing wall height too far
