Quite a write up....just can I look past the purple and concentrate on the peace of mind that all this work should provide.

I quite like that, not sure what shade of purple it is but looks good in the sun.
Good price but sadly being categorised will put most off, I would be interested to know what damage was sustained though as light fibreglass would not be much of a concern.

It says 400 HC on the plenum, but that may just a badge change. New cam etc helps anyway. smile He really should put some pictures of the chassis on if it's that good.

Although it's a Series 1 Chimaera (they just don't fetch as much), it is new enough to have the Serpentine engine, the slightly wider seats and the aluminium rimmed gauges. The aftermarket metal dashboard won't be liked by everybody (I've had wood and metal, both fine IMHO), but the lack of PAS is a shame. I love the colour!

Yes I would want the dash replaced with a walnut 2 piece job, any idea how much it would be to supply and fit one? £1K?

Even the original ones are actually metal with a thin wood veneer. It's why they crack over time. They're are lots of alternatives, at Central TVR and other providers.

I particularly like the aluminium basket weave finish one I had in a 2000 Chimaera. I think it was a factory option by then.

This is the only photo I still have. It was written off by the next owner in 2017.

Yeah that gives a very modern twist...

I still like the old fashioned woody version though I see Mads are selling

Probably worth a punt at £10k but I would always consider the implications for you if you wanted to sell.
If you do go ahead try to get as much info as you can regarding the cat status, not sure if a v check or similar would have photos etc of it.
North east sports salvage get most of these cars, they are very active on Facebook so it's always worth asking.
