A chim to the alps!?

I'm thinking about going skiing early next year to the alps as have quite a lot of holiday that i'm carrying over to next year.

I think it would be an amazing experience to take the Chim over there.

Has anyone done this and if so any tips or advice?

If I were told I could only drive to one place it would be the Stelvio Pass - brilliant.
No good in winter though, as far as I know it is closed for most of the winter period, you would not stand a chance with a Chim in snow on those roads.

nope,not in winter.do it in a reg car and enjoy.if however you are hell bent on it go somewhere with good access such as interlaken in switzerland or chamonix mont-blanc in france where the motorway in both cases goes 99% to the door!
btw whats your car like at -10?

You need to get that leak fixed, does the tree taking root impair the performance any? I guess it's a bugger to fit the roof panel in?

Those pics have convinced me, a spring trip will have to done!!

Could be a good week or so away, Le Mans and blast around the alps - now just to convince the Mrs...Darling....

I did my first TVR trip to the Alps last month and had a great time, totally recommend it.

I went on an organised tour with around a dozen other TVR's and this included husband and wives.

Apart from the great scenery, we stayed in some great locations and made some good new friends.

When we got back my wife asked if we could book for next year without any prompting which is a great result!
