Just in the process of buying a Chimaera, nothing wrong with the interior carpets just not keen on the colour.

Any idea how much it would cost to supply and fit a new set?...

Also what's the going rate for supply and fit for a new two part walnut dash fascia?

Thanks

The name that always crops up for carpets is Central TVR:

There is also a DIY option or two - it's not difficult apart from the panel across the rear bulkhead (as you need to remove or at least loosen the roof)

These guys did a video on it:

Not sure on the fascia - but people do post about it on Facebook every so often - there is someone who produces a replacement that appears to be a better construct than the original

A TVRCC member near me did his own carpets which he purchased from Central. He did a fine job and didn’t find it difficult, just took his time in a methodical manner.

He replaced all the scrim foam/sound deadening at the same time, so there’s that cost to add.

Carpet sets available here too:

I know some have had good results with dyeing them, cant remember the product used though.

I have done that with mine, but used fabric paint because the dyes all said it wouldn’t stick very well.
To be honest, the result is very good, but it took a lot more liquid than I thought, costing near £300, and a new carpet being around €420 or £600, if you have the budget, get new carpets.

Sounds about right.

Will they be putting in underlay, or sound deadening at all?

They didn't specify, that will probably be extra.

Old thread of mine from 2013. Not sure if the spray dye is still available now.
