How hard to get the diff out.?

I have had a slight wine on the diff that has gradually getting worse. After a long drive today it is obvious that the diff is shot to bits. When i now pull away the car shudders as if the crown wheel is pulling or rubbing.
I just wanted to know how hard it is to get the diff out and what sort of price i am looking at for new bearings.

TVRfix are fitting a rebuilt one to mine next week £650 inc fitting and VAT. I climbed underneath and thought no way!

Have you tried changing the oil to a different type, I had a slight wine on mine and changed it to EP80W/90 and now it's as "quiet as a mouse" at all speeds.
Have you checked the oil level and for leaks anyway,

Well so far i have the exhaust off and the bolts out the prop. It's tight under there but not as bad as i thought.
I have got someone lined up to do it for me.

I've got to do mine as well, so far in the last 2 months i've changed a diff in the Tuscan racer and the taz racer, the one im really not looking forward to is the chimaera.

Although I am toying with the idea of sticking the diff i took out of the tuscan in there, its a lower ratio so it might be fun..
